In the center of Domat Al-Jondal, there are ruins of Al-Der’a district next to Umar bin Al-Khattab Mosque. Its stone built houses are connected to each other as well as its lanes, some of which are covered by arches. The lanes were paved with stones in 1413H. Some of the houses consist of two floors and their ceilings were made of rushes and palm tree fronds. Touring inside the site is hazardous since most of its houses are doomed to fall. The site was chosen for its historical, archaeological and heritage importance and its integration with the neighboring tourist sites.
